Egypt 10-Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo & Relax
Welcome to Cairo! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your guide. You can choose to relax and overcome some jet lag or venture out to enjoy a drink or a walk around Cairo. Take in the energy at the Corniche or have some drinks at the hotel.

Day 2: The Great Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, & The Old Kingdom

Today, ride a camel across the Giza plateau, visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, and explore inside its cavernous maze. After marveling at the Sphinx, we'll head to the step pyramid of Djoser and ride donkeys around the ruins. Our final stop is Memphis, the Old Kingdom's capital, where you'll see well-preserved hieroglyphics.

Day 3: Fly to Aswan & Begin Your Nile River Cruise
After breakfast, we'll fly to Aswan and start our 5-star Nile River cruise. Before boarding, we'll visit the High Dam, Philae Temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Marvel at the relocated Philae Temple and the grandeur of the Unfinished Obelisk.

Day 4: Temples Standing in Near Perfect Condition

Enjoy breakfast aboard your cruise and relax by the pool as we sail to Kom Ombo and Edfu. At each temple, your guide will provide insights before giving you free time to explore. Edfu's Horus Temple, buried under sand for centuries, remains in near perfect condition.

Optional Excursion: Early morning trip to Abu Simbel, an engineering marvel built by Ramses II, moved to higher ground to escape flooding.
Day 5: The Valley of the Kings
Visit the Valley of the Kings and explore the hidden underground tombs of pharaohs like King Tut and Ramses IV. We'll also visit Queen Hatshepsut's temple.

Optional Excursion: Hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise, offering breathtaking views of the Nile and surrounding areas.

Day 6: The Neverending Karnak & Luxor Temples

Explore the vast Karnak Temple complex, a testament to centuries of Egyptian architecture. At night, visit the illuminated Luxor Temple before heading to a private resort on the Red Sea in Hurghada.

Day 7: Adventures at the Red Sea
Spend the day at an all-inclusive resort or choose from various optional excursions like snorkeling, ATV riding, parasailing, and windsurfing. We recommend scuba diving to experience the vibrant marine life of the Red Sea.

Day 8: Khan El Khalili, The Cairo Museum, & Life as a Local

Drive back to Cairo and have lunch near Khan El Khalili, Cairo's oldest bazaar. Visit the new Cairo Museum to see mummies and artifacts from King Tut's tomb. End the day with a night out in Cairo, enjoying local cuisine and a Felucca ride on the Nile.

Day 9: Fly Out Anytime (Or join our desert safari)
Depart at your convenience or extend your adventure with a desert safari to the Fayoum Oasis. Camp under the stars and explore Wadi Al Rayan waterfall and The Magic Lake.

Optional Excursion: Desert safari in Fayoum Oasis, with sandboarding, a boat ride on Lake Rayan, and visits to ancient ruins. Plan your flight to depart on Day 11 if you join this excursion.

Day 9 or 11: Optional Excursion - Day Trip to Alexandria

Visit Alexandria, home to the Library of Alexandria, ancient sandstone castles, the statue of Alexander the Great, and more. Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, discovered accidentally in 1900, which make up the largest-known Roman burial site in Egypt and one of the last major works of construction dedicated to the religion of ancient Egypt.
