How Haya Bina Tours Started
Haya Bina Tours was born from a conversation between friends, Miguel and Hassan, as they gathered around a hookah table discussing how most tourists experience Egypt. While the Pyramids and other monumental sites deserve admiration, they realized that many visitors were missing out on the hidden gems that make Egypt truly special. Beyond the main tourist attractions, there’s a rich cultural world filled with local flavors, centuries-old traditions, and authentic experiences that most never get to see.

One thing that stood out to Miguel and Hassan during their discussions was the large crowds of tourists moving in and out of Egypt’s famous monuments. They often wondered if there was a better way to experience these incredible places—something more personal and intimate. Rather than being part of a massive tour group, wouldn’t travelers enjoy exploring Egypt in a smaller group where the experience felt more personal and affordable? This idea became the heart of Haya Bina Tours.
OUR JOURNEY
Miguel first met Hassan during one of his many trips to Egypt. Hassan was leading tours for travelers staying at the same hostel, and after joining one of his tours, Miguel experienced Egypt in a completely new way. The day wasn’t just about visiting famous sites like Khan El Khalili; it was about living the local culture. They ate traditional street food, smoked hookah, played backgammon, and even ended the night at a local metal show—a side of Egypt most travelers would never expect to see.
From Conversation to Creation
From that point on, they began to dream of a tour company that would blend Egypt’s timeless history with its vibrant modern life, all while offering a more intimate and affordable experience. After several more trips, including a journey to Aswan to visit ancient monuments, Miguel and Hassan decided to turn their idea into reality and created Haya Bina Tours.
